Unterwegs auf den Highways des nächtlichen Teherans versorgt Amir die einsamen Seelen der Stadt mit Drogen, um ihnen ein wenig Linderung zu verschaffen. Nach seinen beiden außergewöhnlichen Debütfilmen „Kami`s Party“ (2013) und „Atomic Heart Mother“ (2015) gelingt Ahmadzadeh ein weiteres hypnotisierendes Drama über die desillusionierte urbane Jugendkultur im Iran. Überwiegend mit Laiendarsteller*innen besetzt und ohne Genehmigung gedreht, lief es im Wettbewerb von Locarno, Ahmadzadeh durfte nicht aus dem Iran ausreisen.

On the highways of Tehran at night, Amir supplies the city’s lonely souls with drugs to give them a little relief. After his two extraordinary debut films „Kami’s Party“ (2013) and „Atomic Heart Mother“ (2015), Ahmadzadeh has created another mesmerizing drama about disillusioned urban youth culture in Iran. Filmed without a permit and featuring a cast of mainly non-professional actors, it screened in the Locarno competition and Ahmadzadeh was not allowed to leave Iran.
